Before leaving, I remember coloring farm animals. They were on an erasable coloring mat, so that I could color it however I wanted, an...

Tokyo is one of the largest cities in the world. My cousin and his parents live there, so I got to stay in Tokyo for a couple days. It was our first stop after arriving in Japan, so we had bad jet lag. We had to fight it though, there are just too many things to do there! We happened to be in Tokyo at the same time Obama was there. This meant that all of the locker rooms were closed for security reasons. The garbage cans were also locked shut! Obviously it is so that nobody hid bombs and took off, but this was terrible for us because we had to carry around our luggage all day... Good times.
One of the places I visited was Shibuya, which is pictured above. Shibuya is the busiest street in the entire world, with over 3 million people crossing it each day. If you look closely at the bottom of the picture, you can see everybody crossing until the timer runs out.
At Shibuya, I shopped at multiple stores. These stores were at least 10 stories each: Adidas, Nikon, Forever 21, and so many others. There was also a huge variety of restaurants; I ate fish at an old style Japanese restaurant.
We also visited a famous statue of a dog, named Hachiko. If you’ve never heard of the story or watched the movie, I recommend it!
After we were done at Shibuya, we rode the shuttle bus to Asakusa. This is an old styled street with temples and shrines. It was interesting to see the old traditions of Japan and how building used to look.
On the next day day we went to a Japanese garden. It was full of Japan’s unique plants and wildlife. Japan takes pride in their gardens, so it was very we’ll taken care of and a very peaceful place to spend time. If you’re ever in Tokyo be sure to visit Tonogayato Garden!
There are so many things to do in Japan, and unfortunately I could not fit enough into the two days I was there... Tokyo is one of my favorite cities to visit, and I can’t wait to go back someday!
