This is a photo of Mt. Fuji. It's a bit difficult to make out because of the clouds and the distance, but I unfortunately was unable to turn the plane around.
Every year on the flight from Tokyo to Nagasaki and back, I fly over this beautiful volcano. The flight attendants make an announcement, and they always allow people to move to any open window seats. It is a lot bigger than it seems in this picture, and I have not given it justice at all.
On one flight, the flight attendants were not as lenient. I was about ten, and I was taking pictures with my phone when a flight attendant threatened to TAKE my phone away from me! I am still unsure why, because others were taking pictures and it wasn't like we were still in takeoff... maybe she didn't like kids? Either way, I'll never forget those dirty looks through the cracks in between seats. Good times.
