Before leaving, I remember coloring farm animals. They were on an erasable coloring mat, so that I could color it however I wanted, an...
Niagara Falls!
One morning my family and I woke up and decided we were going to Canada to see Niagara Falls. It was very spontaneous, which is unusual for my parents. Nevertheless, we had a great time!
We mainly stayed on the Canadian side. It had a much better view and felt more up close compared to the U.S. side, which is pictured above. At night, the falls were lit up with different colors. Then fireworks started going off above them, which was a nice surprise!
There were so many options for dinner, but we decided on the Hard Rock Cafe. Best and most expensive meal I've ever had!
At one point during the weekend, my dad needed service to talk to his mom on the phone. Since we were technically out of the country, we had to walk 50 feet across the main bridge to get service. All was well until we turned to go back to Canada... we didn't have our passports. They were in our hotel room. Fortunately, my mom was still in Canada so she could retrieve them. However, we had no way of telling her we were stuck out there. Eventually the guard came over to us to figure out why we were waving our arms around in the window, and he just (probably illegally) let us cross the border. Good times.
